Tips for Recycling your Garden Waste

As like any other works like painting, sculpting, cooking, drafting etc, gardening is also an art to say. To see from outside it may look simpler and easier. But it is not really an easy task. It is really a good exercise for anyone who does it. It not only requires physical activity but it also requires good planning, thinking for it to turn out productive, effective, beautiful which will also not eat your pocket but in turn cool your mind.

We all are well known that at present there are so many factors which spoil the atmosphere. And one of which is the waste from our houses. Even though the government has so many waste recycling projects, simple recycling measures can also be taken in home by us.

Recycling Garden Waste

It does require little more effort for this. But getting these things done in home gives many advantages as we would be able to prepare our own composite, mulch from our farms, save money spending on these composites and mulch which we need to buy from the markets.

Tips for recycling every gardener and home owner should know about

The fallen leaves for example lay in our garden and we do clean it. But instead of throwing it away it can be made into mulch and used in our farms.

There are so many gardening equipments which help us to create this mulch. So when the fallen leaves are collected it can be still more grinded into corous paste or finer form, then mixed with water and spreaded into our farms to about 50-60 mm or 2 to 5 inches minimum.

Mulch can also be made out of shredded leaves, sticks, woods, grass, bark and any other plant products. If the mulch is made more porous then it is more beneficial. It helps to retain the water content in the land which avoids frequent watering of the garden.

Also care has to be taken that the mulch should not be mixed with the soil or should be immersed into the land. It should be just laid as a covering onto the land to protect it. If it is mixed with the land then it will hinder with the growth of the plants. If the weeds are removed before mulching this would be more beneficial. The removed weeds can also be used in mulch preparation.

Another method of recycling the garden waste is to create the compost or manure from the waste products. Compost and manures are essential for the good growth of any plant. It would be much better if that compost is produced by our garden waste. It is also an easy method to create compost.

When the garden waste are collected together it may be grinded using a grinding machine or just cut down into small pieces and can be kept it in the corner of the garden.

The better option is layering the waste one by one such as wood pieces first, small sticks next, grasses and then the fallen leaves. With each layer, also mix the soil and water. And leave this for some time for around 2 to 3 months. After this duration good quality manure is ready for your plants.

Thus by effectively recycling the garden wastes we can be a part in eco-friendly atmosphere. Also this can save good deal of money.
